JUST IN: Election-Related Protests Erupt In Asaba

Protests have erupted in Asaba, Delta State’s capital, in response to the just concluded presidential and National Assembly elections.

In a video circulated on social media on Tuesday morning, hundreds of students are seen screaming the name of the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
“This is happening live in Asaba right now,” stated the voice behind the video. Obi must be Nigeria’s president, whether they like it or not. Our votes are now cast.”
“The Asaba youths are demonstrating right now asking that INEC do the right (thing) and stop the ongoing rigging,” the Peter Obi Grassroots Mobilisation captioned the video.
