President-elect Bola Tinubu has extended an olive branch to fellow PDP candidates Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi of the Labour Party, as well as others, to join him in making Nigeria a great nation.
Tinubu made the demand in his acceptance speech after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, pronounced him the winner of Saturday’s presidential election.
INEC declared Bola Tinubu the winner of the February 25th Presidential Election, with 8, 794, 726 votes, while Atiku Abubakar of the PDP came in second with 6,984, 520 votes, Peter Obi of the Labour Party came in third with 6, 101, 533 votes, and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the NNPP came in fourth with 1, 496, 687 votes.
The APC candidate reminded the other candidates that Nigeria is the only place they could call home.
“I terminate this opportunity to urge to my fellow contenders to allow us to team up together,” the statement stated. This is the only country we have.

He described Nigeria as a country performing wonders in other countries, saying “we can do it here.”
“I promise I will work with you to make Nigeria a destination of coming home to contribute to the development of our nation,” he added.
