Remember that Tinubu was proclaimed the victor of the presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) after defeating Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), and sixteen other candidates.

Following the electoral umpire’s proclamation, Atiku and Obi, dissatisfied with the outcome of the presidential election, filed challenges at the presidential election tribunal disputing Tinubu’s victory.

Governor Bello Abubakar of Niger State, who is also the Directorate’s Chairman, stated during a news conference in Abuja on Saturday that Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima, had the mandate to rule the country for the next four years.
