The funerals for ten family members who perished in a vehicle accident on the Kaduna-Kachia highway on their way home from a wedding in Kano State have taken place.
Islamic customs were followed as the corpses were interred on Monday, March 6 in Kachia, Kaduna.
About 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 5, the sad incident occurred close to the village of Makyelli when they were traveling to Kachia town from Idon..

It was gathered that the vehicle had a head-on collision with a lorry conveying firewood.
The victims, all male, were family members.
A resident of Kachia town who knows some of the victims, Isiyaku Musa Kachia told Daily Trust that they were all from Kano but resided in Kachia town of Kaduna State.
“I know most of them. They went to their home town in Kano for a wedding but on their way back to Kachia town the Golf car they were travelling in collided with a lorry conveying firewood, and all of them in the car died on the spot,” he said.
