See What Peter Obi Told ‘Obidients’ Over INEC’s Refusal To Allow LP Access To BVAS

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has sent a message to his supporters in the wake of the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) refusal to allow his lawyers and agents to inspect the Bimodal Voter Authentication System (BVAS) machines and other electoral materials.

According to media reports, the party’s Presidential Campaign Council Chief Spokesperson, Tanko Yunusa, disclosed in a statement on Saturday that the electoral body has selected which court orders to comply and which to ignore.

Despite threatening to unleash LP supporters known as Obidients, Yunusa stated that the party will participate in nonviolent protest to stop INEC’s flagrant defiance of court rulings.

Wike: Lamido Opens Up On Forcing Peter Obi Out Of PDP

In a tweet on Sunday, the former governor of Anambra State stated that BVAS reconfiguration has become the buzzword of the day.

As a result, he told supporters that it was time to put the court’s decision into action by upholding essential societal principles.

He tweeted: “As the reconfiguration of BVAS has become our watchword today, I humbly appeal to Nigerians that it’s time to Reconfigure our own BVAS “BASIC VALUES ACCEPTABLE TO SOCIETY” Have a nice Sunday and may God Almighty bless Nigeria”

Meanwhile, Shehu Sani, a lawmaker in the 8th National Assembly, has reacted to the apparent ‘romance’ between Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike and Labour Party candidate Peter Obi in the just ended presidential election.

2023 Election: BVAS Will Decide The Next President – INEC To Nigerians

Remember that Obi, along with other major competitors, lost the presidential election on February 25th to All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Bola Tinubu.

Tinubu secured a landslide victory in Rivers during the election. There have been rumors that Governor Wike, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, helped the APC candidate win in the state despite their political differences.

Wike had previously pledged to work against his party’s nominee, Atiku Abubakar, but had declined to name the candidate he would support openly.

Yet, just days after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) granted Tinubu a Certificate of Return, Wike declared Obi his hero of the February 25th presidential election, claiming that the former Governor of Anambra State insured the victory of a president of Southern extraction.

Senator Sani responded to Wike’s statement by comparing the Rivers State Governor’s relationship with Obi to that of a man who jilted his sweetheart and is now attempting to appease her after marrying another woman.

The Kaduna State lawmaker believes Wike was attempting to be nice with Obi and his supporters after supporting Tinubu and switching camps during the presidential election.
