APC’s Abdullahi Sule Declared Winner of Nasarawa Governorship Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced Gov. Abdullahi Sule, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, as the winner of the Nasarawa State governorship election.

Prof Ishaya Tanko, INEC State Collation Officer and Returning Officer, made the pronouncement at the Nasarawa State Collation Centre in Lafia on Monday.

According to the INEC returning officer, the APC candidate received 347, 209 votes, defeating his nearest opponent, David Ombugadu, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who received 283, 016 votes.

The returning therefore, said: ”Abdullahi Sule of APC, having satisfied the requirements of the law and scored the highest number of votes in the election is hereby declared winner and returned elected”.
