JUST IN: APC’s Otu Wins C’River Gov Election

Senator Bassey Otu, the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Cross River, has been declared the winner of the governorship election held last Saturday.

Otu received 258,619 votes, defeating Senator Sandy Onor of the Peoples Democratic Party, who received 179,636 votes.
Otu won 15 of the 18 local government areas, while the PDP took three.

Teddy Adias, the state Returning Officer and Vice Chancellor of Federal University Otuoke, announced Otu as the winner, saying, “That Otu Bassey Edet, having received the largest number of legitimate votes and having completed the conditions of the law, is hereby declared elected.”
