Video: Yoruba Sponsored Thugs Reportedly Attack Igbos in Abule Ado, Police React

An attack on Igbos has been reported in Lagos State’s Abule Ado region, though the police have responded.

The tragedy occurred just hours after most regions of the state held governorship and house of assembly elections.

A viral video shows two young Igbo men being put into a vehicle after allegedly being injured by suspected political thugs.

Abule Ado, located near Festac Town in Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area, has a sizable Southeastern population.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin, Police Public Affairs Officer, acknowledged the security agency had restored normalcy.

According to the representative, an intra-community brawl broke out in the neighborhood earlier this morning, resulting in property damage.

“Owing to the timely arrival of the police, no life was lost and no property was razed as widely claimed

“Two persons have been arrested and investigation has commenced into the matter. Police officers remain on ground to prevent further breakdown of law and order,” the PRO added.
