Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has once again stated that there will be consequences for towns and people in the state who did not support or vote for candidates of the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the state’s State House Assembly election on Saturday, March 18.

In a 1:53 video seen by Newsmen, Governor Soludo, standing in front of the Government House where he spoke with some of his cabinet members, alluded to the time of the Premier of Eastern Nigeria during the First Republic, Michael Iheonukara Okpara, popularly known as MI Okpara, on how he allegedly denied developmental projects from some parts of the Eastern region to those who did not support his political party, the National Council of Nigeria and the cameroons (NCNC).

Soludo said, “Let me tell you, MI Okpara, MI Power, the story is that the NCNC (National Council of Nigeria and the Cameroons (NCNC) later changed to the National Convention of Nigerian Citizens), was laying pipes everywhere and after voting, it happened that Inyi did not vote for the NCNC, he went back and took all the pipes laid at Inyi.

“Yes, he said that if you want this, it is NCNC that brought it. Before we finish giving people who voted and supported us, if money still remains, then we can look towards those who did not support us. So, there must be consequences and there must be rewards.”

Remember that Governor Soludo had threatened to disqualify any member of the state’s opposition political parties who won the State House of Assembly election on Saturday.

The governor made the threat while addressing APGA members and supporters in the state, where he urged residents to vote for APGA candidates.
