The Lagos State APC has encouraged Labour Party governorship candidate Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour to seek redress in court over the outcome of the March 18 governorship elections.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Lagos APC publicity secretary Seye Oladejo said the LP candidate should accept defeat rather than expressing animosity, accusations, and distractions against the ruling party.
“Lagos residents will not appreciate further distractions from you (Rhodes-Vivour) as Gov. Babajide Sanwo-olu focuses on finishing strong and prepares for a greater Lagos in the next dispensation.

“You may, however, wish to approach the courts and put a stop to this immature grandstanding,” the APC spokesman said.
Mr Oladejo encouraged the LP candidate not to apologize to Lagos ians for allegedly insulting their sensibilities in the months running up to the polls.
He claimed that the LP candidate campaign was marked by blatant hatred, religious prejudice, and tribal rhetoric.
Mr Oladejo added: “He has refused to be sober and still has the effrontery to play the victim.
“It is baffling that the law enforcement agencies have not invited him for questioning for his incitement and call for anarchy because he lost an election.

“We found it amazing that his understanding of justice and fairness is when he wins an election by merely leveraging on opportunism and unsustainable spur of the moment.”
During the campaign, he claimed, Lagos citizens worked in vain to discover Rhodes-selling Vivour’s qualities, pedigree, and the content of his agenda.
He claimed that a campaign based on uninformed, bitter criticism of the ruling party without a credible alternative would fail.
The spokesman said: “It is now clear to all and sundry that his interpretation of free and fair elections is only when he wins.
“It was convenient to ignore incidents of violent attacks and killings of the APC supporters across the state and play the victim by allegedly visiting unidentifiable and unverifiable patients.”

He claimed that Rhodes-concern Vivour’s about free and fair elections under Sen. Bola Tinubu’s presidency demonstrated that he was a poor student of history.
Mr. Oladejo stated that Tinubu possessed unrivaled democratic credentials earned through years of hardship and meticulous commitment to our fatherland.
Nigerians, he claims, have chosen a prepared presidency by voting Tinubu.
He stated that Tinubu’s administration could only bring unparalleled progress, peace, and the restoration of our nation’s pride in the international community.
