Guber Poll: Peter Obi Meets Imo Labour Party Governorship Aspirants (Photos)

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate for 2023, met with the party’s governorship hopefuls and stakeholders in Imo State on Thursday.

The LP flagbearer stated in a tweet via his verified Twitter profile that the interactive meeting aims to establish a way ahead for the party in the South East state.

The meeting was presided over by the party’s National Chairman, Julius Abure, according to the former Governor of Anambra State.

According to Obi, several issues must be addressed before the state’s governorship primaries on April 10, 2023.

He found it comforting that the participants pledged to stay constructively involved and work together to ensure smooth and trouble-free primaries.

He wrote: “I’m gratified that Barr. Julius Abure, National Chairman of the Labour Party, and I were able to meet with the Imo State LP Stakeholders and the Governorship Aspirants in an interactive meeting on the way forward in Imo.

“Much grounds remain to be covered ahead of the 10th April Primaries. It is reassuring that the participants agreed to remain constructively engaged, and also work collectively towards seamless and hitch-free primaries. -PO.”
