Nigerians React Over The Death Of Abacha’s Ex-chief Of Staff, Oladipo Diya

Nigerians have reacted to the death of Oladipo Diya, the late dictator General Sani Abacha’s former Head of State.

According to a statement signed on behalf of the family by his son, Oyesinmilola Diya, the late general died in the early hours of Sunday at the age of 78.

According to news accounts, Diya served as former President Sani Abacha’s chief of staff from 1994 until 1997.

He was imprisoned and condemned to death for treason in 1997, but was released following Abacha’s death in 1998.

After the news, some netizens resorted to the microblogging network Twitter to share their feelings on the retired general’s death.
