Lamidi Apapa, the Deputy National Chairperson of the Labour Party (South), has led some other members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) to assume party leadership.

Apapa stated during an emergency meeting of the Labour Party National Working Committee (NWC) on Thursday that his actions are in accordance with a recent court decision that removed Julius Abure as the LP National Chairman.

In announcing himself as the Labour Party’s Acting National Chairman, Apapa also stated that Saleh Lawan is the party’s Acting National Secretary.
