LP National Youth Leader, Kennedy Ahanotu Reveals Why Abure Remains The Chairman

Kennedy Ahanotu, National Youth Leader of the Labour Party (LP), pledged support for the party’s embattled National Chairperson on Friday.

This was stated by Ahanotu during the party’s leadership crisis.

The party’s National Youth Leader dissociated himself from the emergency meeting of the National Working Committee that resulted in the appointment of Lamidi Apapa as acting chairman.

The procedure of dismissing Abure as National Chairman, according to Ahanotu, is illegal, and one violation cannot be used to fix another crime.

He claimed that the move to remove Abure as Chairman is an attempt to hijack Nigerians’ collective interest.

Ahanotu, while speaking on Channels TV said, “You can’t use illegality to correct another illegality. If there is supposed to be a meeting of the National Working Committee, is there not supposed to be notice?

“We have a WhatsApp platform where we share information, there was no notice that there was going to be an NWC meeting. I was totally not aware.

“It was a deliberate attempt to hijack the collective interest of Nigerians. I have never seen such separation in my life.
