UPDATE: APGA’s ​Nwobashi Wins Ebonyi House of Reps Seat

The Ezza North/Ishielu federal constituency in Ebonyi was won by the All Progressives Grand Alliance, or APGA, in a runoff election.

Joseph Nwobashi was proclaimed the victor by the Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC, on Sunday.

Nwobashi won with 11,890 votes, according to the returning officer, Prof. Augustine Ibegbu of Alex Ekwueme University.

He defeated Chinedu Oguta of the Labour Party, LP, who received 8,076 votes, and Emmanuel Nwite of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who received 11,150 votes.

Chibuike Nwanchor, the APGA’s Ebonyi spokesperson, praised him and asked party members to stick together for more success.
