Lisandro Martinez, a defender for Manchester United, announced that surgery went well after being told he would miss the rest of the season due to a fractured metatarsal bone.
Martinez, who played 45 times for United this season across all competitions, was helped off the pitch during their 2-2 Europa League loss with Sevilla.

Martinez wrote on Instagram that the procedure “went really well” and that he was now concentrating on his rehabilitation.
