Fire has devastated the famed Bodija plank market in Ibadan, Oyo State.
A mixed crew of federal and state government firefighters was observed on the ground, feverishly fighting to put out the fire.
Despite the rain, rescue operations to put out the fire continued.
At press time, the cause of the fire outbreak could not be determined, however shopkeepers were observed supporting firemen in minimising damage.
