Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s nominee for president in the most recent general election, said on Monday night that contrary to social media rumors, he did not meet with President-elect Bola Tinubu.
He made it clear that the fabricated material and doctored images are part of the opposition’s attempts to defeat his objectives.
Former Anambra State governor Obi claimed during an appearance on Arise TV, “I didn’t visit anybody.”

He reaffirmed his dedication to upholding the law and stated that he intends to see the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal matter through to the end.
Obi also acknowledged that he is not a citizen of the United Kingdom. He spent some time there, but before departing the UK, he gave in his “unlimited residency permit” to the authorities.
Regarding his recent “arrest” in London, Obi clarified that it was merely a routine immigration check, stating, “I was stopped for a routine immigration check which didn’t last more than 20 minutes. I was never arrested.”
Obi described the reported internal conflict within the Labour Party as the “rascality” of professional spies attempting to thwart the party’s efforts to pursue justice. He highlighted that the party is in good standing and that Abure continues to serve as chairman.
