Okey Wali, the kidnapped former President of the Nigeria Bar Association, has been released after two weeks in captivity.
Wali, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, was taken early Monday by armed men disguised in military uniform in the Obiri-Kwere area of the East-West Road in Rivers State’s Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.
Viktor Benibo, the NBA chairman for the Port Harcourt Branch, verified Wali’s release to our correspondent on Monday, stating, “He is in his house.” He was discharged in the wee hours of this morning.”
