Before the start of several projects in the oil-rich state of Rivers, President-elect Bola Tinubu arrived in Port Harcourt, the capital of the state.
On Wednesday morning at the Port Harcourt International Airport, Governor Nyesom Wike and his entourage welcomed Tinubu, who had been invited at his initiative.
At 10:03am on Wednesday, the President-Elect’s aircraft landed at the airport.

Tinubu was greeted by supporters of the governor who had been permitted entry into the tarmac area under severe security supervision.
Later in the evening, the President-elect will also be welcomed at a state banquet.
In a state broadcast on Tuesday, the governor declared Wednesday a holiday and urged Rivers residents to turn out in large numbers to welcome the incoming president.
