Three Anglican Clerics, One Other Die In Ekiti Auto Crash

Ado-Ekiti—Three Anglican clergymen from the Ekiti-Oke Diocese on the Otun-Iro Ekiti Road in the Moba Local Government Area of Ekiti State were killed in a car accident yesterday.

The slain priests were reportedly driving from Ipere-Ekiti to Iro-Ekiti when their bus suffered a somersault, killing them instantaneously.

While the bodies of the three clergymen were placed in the hospital mortuary, five other clerics who suffered injuries were taken to the Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido Ekiti.

It was gathered that one of the deceased, Reverend Felix Okeowo, who was transferred from Saint Peters’ Anglican Church, Ipere Ekiti, was on his way to assume duty in his new station in Iro-Ekiti, when the incident occurred.
