APC National Secretariat Abuja

Idris Wase, the deputy speaker of the 9th House of Representatives, and a few other candidates for the speakership of the 10th Assembly’s House of Representatives broke into the APC’s national secretariat on Wednesday in the afternoon.

Wase’s visit to the secretariat coincides with the debate over the 10th National Assembly’s zoning blueprint for leadership positions.

The ruling party’s National Working Committee (NWC) reportedly released a zoning blueprint on Monday, according to earlier news reports.

Sen. Godswill Akpabio (Akwa Ibom) would be the Senate President, according to a document released by the party’s NWC on Monday at the conclusion of the NWC meeting in Abuja.

Barau Jubrin (Kano), a senator from the North West, is the vice president of the senate. Hon. Abass Tajudeen (Kaduna), speaker of the North West House of Representatives.

South East Deputy Speaker: Honorable Ben Kalu (Abia).

On Wednesday, Wase’s convoy arrived at the party headquarters at noon and went straight to Abdullahi Adamu’s office, the APC National Chairman.

Some contenders vying for the positions of Speaker and Deputy Speaker have sworn to compete against the President-elect’s selected choices.
