Simon Ekpa, the self-declared prime minister of the Biafra Republic Government in exile, has sent more than 200 documents to Sauli Niinistö, the president of Finland, to reaffirm the appeal for the Biafra referendum.

This was announced on Wednesday via the official Twitter of the leading separatist lawyer, Ekpa, who is based in Finland.

He said that the paperwork was turned in on May 10, 2023.

He continued by saying that Tarja Halonen, the former president of Finland, received a second 200+ page dossier from BRGIE.

“Today, we visited the office of the President of Finland and submitted over 200 documents to the President of Finland on the need not to ignore the development in Nigeria and the issue of Biafra’s exit for lasting peace. We also submitted another 200-plus pages to the former President of Finland”, he wrote.

Despite the Southeast Nigerian region’s political unrest and economic neglect, Ekpa had persisted in calling for a Biafra referendum.

On the expiration of Nigeria’s amalgamation in 1914, he petitioned the International Criminal Court, the United Nations, the United States of America, and the European Union.

A lawsuit filed by the Coalition of Northern Group, CNG, and other ethnic nationalities seeking a referendum on a peaceful breakup of Biafra and other indigenous groups from Nigeria was also brought to the attention of the ECOWAS Court in Abuja by BRGIE.
