Despite Warnings, Lamidi Apapa Storms Court Two Days After Humiliation

On May 19, when the court’s hearing on Peter Obi’s petition against President-elect Bola Tinubu over the results of the 2023 general elections resumed, the factional leader of the Labour Party (LP), Lamidi Apapa, once more stormed the location of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.

According to earlier news reports, Apapa was humiliated as he left the courtroom following a dispute between him, members of his faction, and those from the opposing camp over the allegedly stolen nomination of LP presidential candidate Peter Obi.
