JUST IN: Health Workers Protest In Abuja, Threatens Strike

On Wednesday, health workers demonstrated in the Federal Capital Territory, threatening to go on an indefinite strike starting at midnight if the federal government does not comply with their requests.

The Joint Health Workers’ Union’s members are calling for the payment of hazard compensation and a revision to the Consolidated Health Salary Structure, similar to what was done with the Consolidated Medical Salary Structure.
Along with other things, they are calling for an end to discrimination in the health sector.
