President-elect Bola Tinubu was given a tour of the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Friday by outgoing Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari.
They went to the Press Gallery after participating in the Jummah Prayers at the Aso Villa Mosque.
President Buhari gave Tinubu a tour of the area as they left the Aso Chambers waiting area, saying, “This is the Gallery where you will be meeting members of the press.”
However, newsmen noticed that during the tour, neither Tinubu nor Buhari spoke to the media.

The familiarization visit was held the day after Vice President-elect Kashim Shettima and Tinubu received their national honors of Grand Commander of the Federal Republic and Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger, respectively, from President Buhari.
During a ceremony held in the State House Banquet Hall, the awards were given out.
On Thursday, Yemi Osinbajo, the vice president, offered Shettima a tour of the Vice President’s Wing of the State House in a separate function.
President Buhari and Vice President Osinbajo exchanged documents with their successors in advance of the formal transfer of power, which is set for Monday, May 29, 2023, according to a previous report by Naija News.
