President Biden Congratulates Tinubu On His Inauguration As Nigeria’s President

President Bola Tinubu has received congratulations from Vice President Joe Biden of the United States on the occasion of his appointment as the new head of state of Nigeria.

Biden also expressed his best wishes for the Nigerian government and people on the occasion of the swearing-in in a statement posted on the White House website on Monday.

The American leader noted that his administration has worked to deepen ties with Nigeria and that he is eager to engage with President Tinubu to encourage economic expansion, increase security, and foster respect for human rights.

Biden continued by expressing his eagerness to tap into the innovative spirit and vibrant relationship between the two nations even further.

He said: “On behalf of the people of the United States, I send warm wishes to the government and people of Nigeria as they inaugurate a new President.

“My administration has worked to strengthen ties between the United States and Nigeria, and I look forward to continuing this work with President Tinubu to support economic growth, advance security, and promote respect for human rights.

“The people-to-people connections between our two countries run particularly deep, nurtured by a vibrant Nigerian Diaspora in the United States.
