Paint and Sip with Divah, an exciting event held at Awka, Anambra State on the 28th of May was a social painting event put together by Paint Divah Nigeria.
The event was colourful and inspiring as many persons without prior painting experience, created beautiful designs on more than 20 canvas and winners went home with a house paint sponsorship.
After two sessions of painting while sipping their favourite wine, the guests expressed joy towards doing something different and memorable through painting. One of them, Mr. Nnabuife says he wouldn’t mind doing Paint and Sip with Divah all over again. In his words, “there was no dull moment, I really feel relaxed having had so much fun. My painting reminds me of the fact that I did something I have never done in all my life such as painting”.

Speaking to Anaedoonline, the CEO of Paint Divah Nigeria, Mrs. Okafor Amarachi Abraham said it has been a long term goal for her but finally achieving it means that more can be done. She added that social painting events are not so popular in the south east but she intends to make that a norm. Painting is a different kind of having fun, relaxing and networking which is very important.
“People see paint as a stressful thing, because most painters use rollers, so they see it as so much stress but there is more to painting, you can paint while having fun, people can gather to paint. It’s all about creativity, while painting, you see that there are so many creative ideas in you. I decided to bring this out so that people can explore and discover that creativity that’s inside of them”.
According to the astute business woman who is a house painter and paint producer, “Paint Divah Nigeria has been on for over five years and as professional house painters, we equally train young girls and guys who have passion for house painting and love to beautify”

“Painting is in me. Everything I do is about painting. People see me and they see paint. Our motto at Divah Paint Nigeria is ‘we give life to dead walls’, so if your wall is cracked or dull, we will give you the services you want. We produced all the paint used for today’s event so we produce paint for houses and for artworks”.
On the company’s aspirations she revealed that in the next five years, Paint Divah Nigeria will be one of the best, infact, a household name in paint production. They specialize in house paintings, screeding, Pop paint/ design and other forms of creative interior/ exterior paintings.
The paint lover appreciated the sponsors for believing in her dreams and standing by her brand over the years, Anaedo Tv, De-Angelus wine, Cherries Experience, Awka Social Media Hangout and many others. She also revealed that a second event is coming up sometime this year.
The instructor for Sip and Paint with Divah, Mr. Ugwu Samuel Nwachukwu who has been into art since childhood and has been a professional for decades revealed that art is life and painting can also be relaxing just like going to the movies.

“Painting is fun naturally, I do tell my students that everybody can actually paint and I make painting simplified by some step by step approach. I thank God for this rare gift which is being good at what you do and at the same time pass it across to students or an audience.”
