On Monday, Twitter, a microblogging site, removed the verification tag from the account of Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, a former vice president of Nigeria.
The microblogging platform also left Muhammadu Buhari’s verification tag behind.
Prior to its elimination, the unique verification tag was made specifically for government employees.
Osinbajo currently has 4.2 million Twitter followers and 3, 943 tweets.
Buhari, on the other hand, still retains his verification tag despite having 4.6 million followers and tweeting 5,872 times.
