After handing over power to President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday in Abuja, former President Muhammadu Buhari left the ceremony’s arena right afterwards.
According to Newsmen, Tinubu was sworn in as Nigeria’s next president today to lead the nation’s affairs for the ensuing four years following a laborious election campaign that lasted months.
At precisely 10:28 and 10:38 a.m., Tinubu and Kashim Shettima received their oaths of office from Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola.

After a series of ceremonies and the raising of new flags, which marks the beginning of a new administration, the immediately preceding president, Buhari, and his entourage reportedly drove out of the arena on their way to his home state of Katsina.
In order to travel to Daura in Katsina, the former president and his family headed for Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport.
Following the formal handover, according to news sources, former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo also left the inauguration site with his principal.
