According to reports, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu inherited 33 uncompleted projects worth over N16.29 trillion from the outgoing president, Muhammadu Buhari.

According to Newsmen, the unfinished projects were found using the national monitoring and evaluation system known as EYEMARK, which was introduced last year.

The monitoring and assessment platform, which The PUNCH cites, indicates that around 33 projects still need to be finished, along with the total sum appropriated and disbursed so far.

Fashola recently stated that the Bodo-Bonny Road project would be funded by the Federal Government’s Tax Credit Scheme and would be finished in December 2023.

The $25 billion (approximately N11.52 trillion) Nigeria-Morocco Gas Pipeline is another unfinished project. It is the unfinished project with the highest cost.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited is in charge of carrying out the National Gas Expansion Programme of Nigeria, which includes the construction of the Nigeria-Morocco and Trans-Sahara Gas Pipelines as well as domestic gas pipeline infrastructure projects.

Additionally, the Greater Abuja Water Project, which is anticipated to cost $470.76 million (or roughly N217 billion), is still pending because the government has not yet released the 20% counterpart financing necessary for the project’s proper execution and delivery.
