Three family members were reportedly kidnapped on Monday in Ganaja, Kogi State’s Ajaokuta Local Government Area, in the Greenland community behind the 500 Housing Estate.
Witnesses said that the incident took place on Monday at around 9 p.m. as neighbors hurried for cover.
According to eyewitness accounts, the attackers rode into Siena in a bus and started shooting at random before snatching the intended target, a retired security guard.
Paul Atabor, the Chairman of the Greenland village in the Ajaokuta Local Government Area of Kogi State, informed our correspondent of the incident on Wednesday.
Atabor explained that the incident has been reported to the C Division of the Nigeria Police Force and the Department of State Services, (DSS).
The Chairman further hinted that the community on Wednesday morning received a notice from suspected kidnapping that they are coming back to kidnap more people.

One of the family members of the kidnap victim who did not want his name to be mentioned because he was not authorised to speak told our correspondent that the kidnappers have reached out to the family members and are demanding for ransom to release their victims.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in Kogi State, SP William Ovye Aya said the headquarter is yet to be briefed about the incident.
He promised that the command will reach out to our correspondent after getting more information about the incident from the Divisional Police Officer, of C Division.
