According to the BBC, Lionel Messi will reject a lucrative contract in Saudi Arabia and sign as a free agent with Major League Soccer team Inter Miami.

After leaving French champion Paris Saint-Germain, the 35-year-old is currently a free agent.

Messi’s potential return to Barcelona has also been mentioned. But because of the league’s financial fair play rules, the LaLiga champions have been powerless.

Messi will be playing outside of Europe for the first time since entering Barcelona’s academy at the age of 13 if the deal with Miami is finalized.
