UPDATE: Gov Makinde Reveals What G5 Discussed With Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu and the G5 met on Thursday in Abuja, according to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leaders, better known as the Integrity Group, paid the President a visit at the White House.

Former governors Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), Samuel Ortom (Benue), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu), and Nyesom Wike (Rivers) were part of the group.

Makinde told reporters that the discussion was focused on nation-building, which he claimed necessitated assessment and consultation.

“Nation-building is a difficult task. You have to keep evaluating. We have to keep seeing the President, to let him know what is happening.

“The G-5, the Integrity Group, came to let the President know what we stand for: fairness, justice and equity,” he added.

Wike and the Oyo helmsman have already had two meetings at the Presidential Villa this week with Tinubu.

After Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president, became the PDP’s presidential candidate in May of last year, the G5 was established.
