Corperate events in Nnewi takes a new dimension today, the 18th of June, 2023 at the finals of Moonshine Beach Soccer Championship, a corporate football tournament put together by Moonshine Residence.
The football tournament held at No 1 Madubuko Street Uru- Umudim, Nnewi was a unifying and entertaining event for the organizations who participated in the maiden edition of the championship.
After some weeks of interesting competition among 12 teams, Industrial giant, Tummy- Tummy and one of the biggest micro- finance banks Moniepoint emerged on top and competes for the cup today.

In an entertaining, emotion filled football match, Moniepoint team goes home with the trophy and cash award of hundred thousand naira. Tummy Tummy also recieved a prize as the runner up.
Prizes such as the highest goal scorer was won by Costa Mmuoma who scored 12 goals in the competition added more colour to the interesting event.
Sharing his opinion on Beach Soccer, Obi of Umudim, HRH, Obi B. C. Okafor says that the nature of football experienced in the western part of world, have been brought to Nnewi in a more exciting package.
The monarch reminded all of the unity and goodwill sports brings to the people, making reference to the opportunities found in the world of sports.
Sports Consultant and referee of the Moonshine Beach Tournament thanked the Moonshine management for such unique initiative and says the reception was great, since the people are not very familiar with beach Soccer.

Manager of Moonshine Residence, Mrs Peace thanked the organizations for being a part of the tournament. She looks forward to more editions of the competition and the positive future that awaits the brand, having successfully achieved this feat. On future plans, the brand manager revealed that another big event is coming up by September at the Moonshine Residence.
The medical team led by Dr. Chukwudi Edwin Nwando was on stand by to promptly attend to player’s health. According to the health practitioner, “football is a contact sports so that’s why we are on ground to take care of players who may need medical attention. So far, the minor injuries have been properly managed”.
Afro Asian Coach, Mr Bethel expressed joy over having to train weekly with his team as they bonded away from the workplace.
Customers of Moonshine Residence and friends of the organizations had a good time as they cheered their team to victory.

Initiatives like the Moonshine Residence Beach Football Championship, though first of it’s kind in South East Nigeria has gained some positive remarks from community leaders, fans and sports lovers.
