Former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has explained why he backed Senator Godswill Akapbio for Senate President of the 10th National Assembly.
Wike stated that Akpabio contributed N200 million to his campaign in 2014 and 2015, emphasizing that one good turn merits another.
On Sunday, he spoke at the St. Peters Deanery in Rumuepirikom, Obio-Akpor, at a special thanksgiving ceremony organized by his family.

He claimed Akpabio defied critics by running for governor in 2015.
According to Wike: “When I was running in 2014 and 2015 he came out and supported me. He gave me N200m for that election. That is why I said one good turn deserves another. I supported him this time and I thank God he won”.
