President Bola Tinubu has arrived in France for President Emmanuel Macron’s Global Financing Pact Summit in Paris.
According to reports, Tinubu’s official Gulfstream jet took off from the Presidential Wing at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m.
The two-day summit, set for June 22 and 23, aims to bring together world leaders to evaluate and adopt a deal with far-reaching repercussions.

President Tinubu was greeted warmly by officials from both France and Nigeria upon his arrival.

Meanwhile, President Tinubu will “participate, review, and sign a New Global Financial Pact that places vulnerable countries on a priority list for support and investment,” according to Dele Alake, Special Adviser for Special Duties, Communication, and Strategy.
This agreement intends to confront the unpleasant implications of climate change, the energy crisis, and the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Leaders attending the meeting will concentrate on restoring fiscal stability to countries facing immediate financial issues, particularly the most indebted countries.

They will also work on mobilizing innovative funding for climate-vulnerable countries, promoting development in low-income countries, and supporting investment in environmentally friendly infrastructure in developing economies.
According to Alake, President Tinubu, together with other global leaders and financial experts, will examine holistic economic recovery plans in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic and the rise in poverty rates.
