First Three Weeks Of Tinubu As President Not Perfect – Bode George

Chief Bode George, a Peoples Democratic Party chieftain, has lauded President Bola Tinubu’s administration, claiming it is better than his term as Lagos State governor between May 1999 and May 2007.

Chief George, a former Deputy Chairman of the PDP, made the remarks on Channels Television’s Politics Today show on Tuesday.

When asked to rate Tinubu’s administration’s first three weeks, George stated it was too early to provide a rating.

When further asked to describe the performance of Tinubu in the last 22 days as Nigeria’s President, the Lagos-based PDP stalwart said, “It’s not perfect but reasonable. At least, it is better than what we had known before when he was in Lagos. Maybe he was much younger at that time and had no experience but now, Lagos is not Abuja.”

On if he is willing to collaborate with Tinubu, George stated that if the President approaches him, he will seek approval from the PDP.

He also restated his PDP membership, stating that despite their long-standing political struggle, he is not an enemy of the president.

“The main difference between Bola and me is that his methodology, his managerial style, is completely different from mine.” I have a military background and work as a logistician in the military. “You don’t take your men to war unless you’ve done your serious planning and intelligence gathering,” the PDP chieftain remarked.
