Ohanaeze Blasts JAMB For Accusing Mmesoma Ejikeme of Forging Result

The Youth Wing of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has reacted to Mmesoma Ejikeme’s alleged fabrication of UTME results.

The organization requested that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) hold another exam for Ejikeme.

The gang stated this to reporters in Owerri on Tuesday.

Remember how JAMB accused Ejikeme, a girl from Anglican Girls Secondary School in Nnewi, Anambra, of faking her score to gain favor?

In a statement, the group’s Financial Secretary, Mazi Chinedu Arthur-Ugwa, said the claim was a disgrace to the applicant, the exam body, and Nigeria in general.

He expressed concern that the claim would have a psychological and emotional impact on the adolescent.

Arthur-Ugwa urged the Board to promptly restore its and the nation’s reputation.

He said, ”in any form or by any means on an innocent youth who had yet to be pronounced guilty by the results of ongoing investigations into the matter.

“Only another examination supervised by independent observers will bring this matter to rest and we will avail ourselves to be part of the supervision if need be.”

Further, Arthur-Ugwa recalled how the board previously claimed that a snake devoured a large number of money, and how the board’s examinations can no longer be trusted.

“Only a few years back, JAMB told us how a snake swallowed a huge sum of money in one of its offices; today we are being told that the results of an examination that should admit students into our hallowed tertiary institutions can no longer be trusted for what they are.
