Fleeing Abuja N55m Benz Thief Arrested In Edo

Meshach Sinuphro, the suspect in last Wednesday’s theft of a Mercedes Benz worth N55 million from a car dealer in the Federal Capital Territory, has been detained by the Decoy Squad of the Edo State Police Command.
Sinuphro was captured in Benin City, Edo State, according to a tweet posted on Twitter on Thursday by DSP Bright Edafe, the public relations officer for the Delta State Police.

“The suspect, Meshack Sinuphro, who is accused of stealing the Mercedes in Abuja while posing as a buyer, was taken into custody today in Benin City by the Command Decoy Squad.
“The suspect will be sent as quickly as possible to the FCT Command. Always report offenses to the police, and we’ll always come through,” Edafe wrote in the post.

ANAEDOONLINE Metro had reported that seven days after Sinuphro absconded with the Mercedes Benz GLB 250 in the FCT, men of the Nigerian Police Force detailed to investigate the case recovered the stolen vehicle in the Ughelli North Local Government Area Delta State.

The owner of the vehicle, Mohammed Manga, in an interview with our correspondent, said the suspect absconded with the vehicle during a test drive.
