Lagos Police Arrest Man For Allegedly Defiling 16-Year-Old Pupil

The Lagos State Police Command announced on Tuesday that a 23-year-old male named Kehinde Asimiyu had been detained for allegedly defiling 16-year-old Ado Soba, a student at the Government Technical College, in the state’s Trade Fair area.
ANAEDOONLINE When Asimiyu confronted the child at 6 am and pulled her into his apartment against her will, Metro learned that she was on her way to school.

Asimiyu allegedly defiled the girl inside the flat before releasing her, it was discovered.
According to information obtained, the young person reported the event to her principal when she arrived at school. The administrator then notified the police, who then detained Asimiyu.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, on Tuesday, said the suspect, during interrogation, confessed to the crime.

He said, “On July 11, 2023, around 6am at the Trade Fair area, one Kehinde Asimiyu, 23, accosted and dragged to his apartment, a 16-year-old student of the Government Technical College, Ado Soba.

“The victim was on her way to school when Asimiyu captured and forcefully defiled her in his room. The principal of the school, when this was discovered, reported the case at the Trade Fair Police Division.”

According to Hundeyin, a team of detectives was deployed to the location the moment the case was reported to the division and the perpetrator was apprehended.
“The suspect was arrested, and on interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime. The victim has been taken to the hospital for treatment and medical report,” he said.

He, however, said an investigation was ongoing and once concluded, the suspect would be transferred to the appropriate division for possible prosecution.
