Senator Abubakar Kyari, Deputy National Chairman (North) of the All Progressives Congress, has taken over the party’s National Working Committee, NWC.
Kyari’s takeover confirms Senator Abdullahi Adamu’s resignation as APC National Chairman over the weekend.
Senator Iyiola Omisore, the party’s National Secretary, was said to have accepted Adamu’s resignation.

However, at around 10:40 a.m. on Monday, the Deputy National Chairman convened a meeting in his office with a team of seven additional NWC members.
Kyari’s automobile was discovered parked in the spot intended for the National Chairman.
Omisore arrived at the secretariat about 11:20 a.m. and joined the others in the meeting.
