Why I Left APC Emergency NWC Meeting – Ex-APC Secretary Omisore

Senator Iyiola Omisore, National Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has explained why he left the party’s emergency National Working Committee (NWC) meeting.

Omisore was reportedly barred from attending the ongoing emergency NWC meeting at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, widely known as Buhari House.

The party’s scribe apparently arrived at the secretariat about 11:20 a.m. to join other NWC members in the meeting, but was denied access.

UPDATE: APC National Chairman, Adamu, National Secretary, Omisore Allegedly Resigns

Following the resignation of the party’s National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the Deputy National Chairman (North), Senator Abubakar Kyari, took over the meeting.

Omisore told reporters that he departed the secretariat as soon as he arrived because the party’s national leader was not present for the meeting.

The APC chairman stated that he will meet Adamu at his residence, but he did not know why the former Nasarawa governor was not present at the secretariat.
