Shehu Sani, a former politician, has denounced the Presidential Guard’s incarceration of Niger President Mohamed Bazoum.
Sani, who also cautioned that Bazoum should not be harmed, protested military authority in the nation.

He stated on Twitter that we must reject military control.
In his own words, “Military control in West Africa must be completely repudiated and resisted. There is no ideal democracy anywhere, including in our own country. The answer is not military rule.

ATTEMPTED COUP: Niger President To Be Sworn In

“I’m surprised to read comments in the social media, it appears that many young people are now in support of it. I understand the disappointment and the frustration with the political class. It’s still better we continue to struggle to make our democracy better until we get it right.

“We don’t want Military Coup in Niger Republic. Nothing should happen to President Muhammed Bazoum.”
