The Nigerian Senate delayed the assessment of three ministerial nominations on Monday due to allegations of age fabrication and falsification, among other things.
According to Newsmen, seven of the 14 nominees named on the order paper for screening were requested to take a bow and leave, four were screened, and three were halted.
Prof. Joseph Utsev, who is currently the Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Wannune, the hometown of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Senator George Akume, was among those whose screening was halted and requested to address difficulties.

Utsev, who is from Benue State’s Buruku Local Government Area, stated in his resume that he was born in 1980 and completed his primary school in 1989 at the age of nine, thereby drawing the attention of the Senate on how he would be in primary one at the age of three.
Senator Abubakar Sani Danladi of Taraba was accused of being barred from holding public office for ten years by the Supreme Court, while Bello Mohammed of Sokoto State was accused of falsifying his Secondary School Leaving Certificate.
In response to the news, Senate President Godswill Akpabio stated that nominees who had concerns will have their cases reviewed throughout the confirmation process.
Ahmed Musa Dangiwa of Katsina State, Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji of Enugu State, and Stella Erhuvwuoghene Okotete of Delta State were among the nominees whose names were on the Order Paper but were not inspected.
