Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the former presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in the 2023 general election, has declared that his party is prepared to take over the government of Imo State following the governorship election on November 11.
Former governor of Kano State Kwankwaso stated that the party’s national leadership will work tirelessly to ensure that Imo is annexed as one of its stronghold states in the southeast geopolitical zone.
He made this disclosure in a statement issued shortly after a courtesy visit to Abuja by the Party’s gubernatorial candidate, Uche Ben Odunzeh, and his running mate, Godstime Chukwubikem Samuel. The statement was signed by Mr. Joshua Elekwachi, the candidate’s media officer.

Kwankwaso, however, urged the Odunzeh to remain steadfast and focused and to make sure he doesn’t lose the confidence of his supporters, particularly if he wins, but he gave him the assurance of the full support of the Party’s national leadership.
In order to ensure that Imo is won for the NNPP, the national leader Kwankwaso also warned the party members in Imo and the candidate Odunzeh to cooperate effectively with the party leadership.
The gubernatorial candidate, Odunzeh, earlier made a vow to ensure that all parties and stakeholders are unified, particularly as the election draws near.
He encouraged the party’s national leadership to make sure that everyone is working together to give the state to the party.
