Shehu Sani Salutes Historic Ministerial Nomination of Abuja Indigene

Senator Shehu Sani, a senior member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has praised President Bola Tinubu for appointing an Abuja native for a ministerial position.

Zephaniah Jisalo, a native of the FCT, reportedly made the list of the second batch of ministerial nominees that the President on Wednesday forwarded to the Senate.

No native of the area (Gbagyi) has held a cabinet position since the nation reinstituted democracy.

On Wednesday, Tinubu made history by proposing Jisalo, a former member of the House of Representatives, as the first Abuja native to hold the position of minister.

Shehu Sani responded by praising the news in a tweet on his official account and highlighting how the indigenous people’s long-standing cries and prayers have been heard.

The former lawmaker wrote: “The indigenous people of Abuja now have a minister in the Federal Cabinet for the first time in history.

“Their years of prayers and protests have been answered. That is a commendable decision by the President.”
