Insecurity: Navy Announces Plan To Deploy More Logistics, Manpower To Imo

In order to address Imo State’s security issues, the Nigerian Navy has committed to sending more personnel and equipment there.

Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, the Chief of Naval Staff, revealed this on Thursday (today) during his familiarisation tour to the state.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, Governor Hope Uzodimma welcomed Ogalla and his entourage today at the Imo State Government House.

Speaking during the visit, the head of the Navy praised the governor of Imo State for all the assistance provided to the Nigerian Navy and for maintaining friendly ties between the Imo State administration, the Navy, and the local populace.

According to Ogalla, the state government’s concern for the welfare of the Nigerian Navy has inspired them to give their all while carrying out their responsibilities. In order to address recognised flash points that pose security concerns in the region, particularly on the sea routes and nearby Rivers, the Chief of Naval Staff stated that the navy will send more personnel and logistics to Imo State, in particular.

Governor Uzodinma promised the state’s security agencies that his administration would continue to support them in his remark.

 

He declared that in order to enable Ndi Imo regain their dignity, the shared prosperity government would continue to offer a favourable working environment and logistics.
