Bandits Attack Plateau Traders, Kill Two

Barely one week after some gunmen attacked traders returning from a market in the Heipang community, Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau state, the bandits have again killed two traders.

According to information obtained, the most recent victims—all women—were being targeted by the bandits on Friday night while they were traveling back from Kinat Community.
The Kinat Community is located in the neighboring Mangu Local Government Area’s Halle Ward.
Moses Jat, a trader who managed to flee the onslaught, confirmed the killings to The ANAEDOONLINE in Jos on Saturday.
According to Jat, some Kinat women were attacked by Fulani herdsmen while they were leaving the market on Friday night. In addition to the two deaths, two additional people were injured.

“Those who were injured are currently receiving treatment in the hospital . But the question is what exactly did this people want that they are attacking even traders who were returning from the market ? It is by the Grace of God that some of us escaped the attack.
The Media officer for the Military Taskforce in charge of maintaining peace in the state, Captain Oya James could not be reached to speak on the incident when contacted by our correspondent as his phone line was switched off.

Also, efforts to speak with Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Alabo Alfred on the incident proved abortive as he phone rang out when contacted.
