Kenneth Okonkwo, a politician and actor in Nollywood, has reacted to the billboard’s removal reading, “All eyes on the judiciary.”
In response to the “All eyes on the judiciary” billboards that appeared in Abuja and a few other states, key executives of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCO) were suspended, and their units were abolished, according to Anaedoonline.ng.
According to the board, the director and deputy director of the council’s Advertising Standards Panel were suspended to allow for an impartial inquiry into the matter.

Olalekan Fadolapo, the director general, said that the officials were negligent in performing their gatekeeping duties.
“The “All eyes on the judiciary” billboards have been trending on social media for some days, as the date of judgement in the presidential election petitions draws close.
“The attention of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) has been drawn to the “All Eyes on the Judiciary” advertisements exposed on some billboards across the country,” the statement reads.
Okonkwo responded to the issue on Twitter, saying that the punishments against the advertising panel members demonstrate that there is no freedom of speech in Nigeria.
He then made a comparison between President Bola Tinubu and Idi Amin, a former military leader of Uganda.

Idi Amin has a reputation for being violent.
According to him, “The removal of “all eyes on judiciary” billboards and sanctioning of members of the Advertising Panel show that in Nigeria today, there’s no freedom after speech. Nigeria now has an Idi Amin as President. O’God, please give us a democrat as President. Indeed all eyes on judiciary.”
